Each year, Mercy for Memphis actively supports worthy nonprofit organizations achieving results in these three key areas:
- Evangelism, both locally and internationally
- Education, locally
- Community Development
Evangelism/Faith Based Organizations
Mercy for Memphis awards grants to organizations, which are committed to living out the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We support a wide variety of Faith Based Organizations, ranging from providing food for the homeless, encouragement for families and individuals while teaching that there is a living hope in Jesus Christ.
All children deserve a high-quality education that prepares them for success and provides an opportunity to break the cycle of generational poverty. We support private, public, and independent school programs throughout the city.
Our hope is that God would transform the school system within, with teachers and leaders who are committed both to the community of Memphis and to the highest standards of learning for the children. Mercy for Memphis' educational efforts are focused solely on the city of Memphis.
Vibrant neighborhoods are of paramount importance to achieve a thriving city that attracts both individuals and businesses. We invest in initiatives that transform the landscapes and human lives. We want our city to be a destination to live, work and play. We hope to enhance the appeal of our neighborhoods and to advance accountable, collaborative redevelopment and sustainable urban design.
The organizations to which we give must enhance and embolden the community of Memphis, at large, and/or individual neighborhoods. This goal can be achieved from a myriad of perspectives, but must be focused on the promotion of the collaboration of individuals ultimately comprising a community.
